Log-Crete

Log-Crete was designed by Bob Romportl, a local of a small town located in Northwestern Wisconsin. The idea first emerged when Romportl, visiting the tropical island of the Philippines, longed to build a log house there that could endure the effects of termites, typhoons, and fire but still maintain the beauty of wood.  After coming up with a plan, in the mid 1990's, for a house that had the natural beauty of logs but also the durability of concrete, the first Log-Crete home was born.

Our Business

Our business involves constructing structures that are made of concrete but have the appearance of logs. Besides the building of houses, Log-Crete can create many other different types of structures. From porches and benches to bird feeders and mail boxes, Log-Crete offers many designs to meet your needs.

Who We Are

The builders of Log-Crete are Bob Romportl and nephew Tom Romportl.  After innovating the idea of a concrete log house to the United States, it was decided to construct the first, super insulated,  U.S. Log-Crete Home (see photos).
